Billy Miner’s Roadhouse

I love exploring Kamloops for some of our little known local gems for a great meal and this place has to be the best unknown restaurant in our city limits.  We were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch on our way home after spending the morning at the BC Wildlife Park and we came across Billy Miner’s Roadhouse.   

The Billy Miner’s Roadhouse is located just off the highway at the Gateway Travel Centre, also known as the Shell truck stop just east of Dallas.  We arrived just after the Sunday Morning Breakfast Buffet had ended but we were fine with that as we really wanted to have something off their menu for lunch.   The menu offers exactly what you would expect in such place: a variety of burgers, sandwiches, seafood, pastas, stirfrys, steaks, and even included a Thai curry rice bowl.  

We loved our food, they were very flavorful and the portions were more than adequate for a hungry foodie just like me.  The service was absolutely perfect: fast and very friendly, making our visit to Billy Miner’s Roadhouse a nice experience.
