Chapters Viewpoint Restaurant

Chapters Viewpoint Restaurant was our choice to treat Mom to a relaxing Sunday Brunch on Mother’s Day. Here are our pro’s and con’s:

Pro’s:

• Very good selection of breakfast and lunch items, something for everyone.  We especially liked the egg benedicts, sweet & sour pork, devilled eggs, steam mussels, chapters salad and the lasagna. 
• An awesome View - I just wish I had packed my DSLR to the restaurant. It would have been great to eat, drink and shoot.
• The price for children under 12 was $1 per year.  Very family friendly pricing structure.

Con’s:

• Disappointing service - our waiter was not very attentive.  We had to wait a long time for him to bring us new plates and used plates were not cleared in a timely manner and our drinks were not refilled until the very end.
• The buffet setup (food accessible only from one side - single lineup) caused for long lineups to the buffet and dishes were often not refilled fast enough.

Overall, Great view, poor service, and good food.  This restaurant is popular locally for its New Mexican influenced dishes so a return visit is in order in the very near future.  We will be back!!
